We’re looking for someone with bags of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to join our Out of School Care team. You’ll help create afternoons full of laughter, play, and learning — all in a safe, caring environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and leading exciting games, activities, and arts & crafts
- Building great relationships with children, parents, and the team
- Keeping our play spaces safe, tidy, and welcoming
- Being a friendly face at pick-up and drop-off
- Uploading onto learning journals
You must hold one of these recognised qualifications for SSSC registration:
- HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7 (GK9T 15 or GT6P 47)
- SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 9
- SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 7 or 9 (with CPL requirements)
- Montessori Diploma in Early Years Education SCQF Level 8 (from Nov 2023)
- BA (Hons) Social Work (or equivalent)
- BA Early Learning and Childcare (Graduate Apprentice)
- HNC Additional Support Needs (Supporting the Individual)
- SVQ in Playwork (GP1H 23) at SCQF Level 7 plus specific units from SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) Level 7
- occupational therapists,
- art/music/drama therapists, physiotherapists,
- speech & language therapists,
- practitioner psychologists,
- General Teaching Council Scotland,
- Nursing & Midwifery Council, General Medical Council)
- Degree/Diploma in Community Education
- BA Social Pedagogy (University of Aberdeen)
- BA Curative Education (University of Aberdeen)
- BA (Hons) Professional Studies (Playwork)
- Certificate in Residential Care of Children and Young People
- Certificate in Hospital Play Specialism (HPSET)
- Degree/Diploma in Curative Education
- Level 1 OU Diploma of Higher Education in Childhood Practice
- Level 1 OU Foundation Degree in Early Years (E123 and E124/E100 and E115/E105)
- Senior Certificate in Residential Care of Children and Young People
- National Nursery Examination Board Certificate (NNEB)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 28 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Renfrew PA4 8HL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare : 1 year (preferred)
