We are a busy, independent Optometrist practice in Cardiff, looking for a reliable and organised Optical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. This is a customer-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent service and supporting the smooth running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone.
- Managing appointment bookings, amendments, and confirmations using our computer system.
- Responding to emails and patient enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and handling administrative paperwork.
- Supporting colleagues with general administrative tasks to ensure the practice runs efficiently.
- Complying with confidentiality, GDPR, and data protection requirements at all times.
Skills and Experience

- Proficiency in IT systems, along with good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Previous experience in optics or a healthcare administration role would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
