Are you passionate about providing nutritious meals for children? Do you have a love for cooking and a desire to support young learners in their growth and development?
We are looking for a dedicated and creative cook to join our team at First Friends. As a Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced, and delicious meals for babies to five-year-olds. Hours: 9.30am-2.30pm, Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals, snacks, and drinks in line with the dietary requirements and preferences of the children.
- Plan a weekly menu that supports children's health and dietary needs.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, organised, and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Work closely with the nursery staff to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Create fun, colorful, and appealing meals to encourage healthy eating habits following our Thoughtful Food Programme.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in cooking for children or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for young children.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to cooking.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
