Role Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Nidec Drives as New Product Integration (NPI) Coordinator. This role will be dedicated to NPI coordination of planning, part control and design administration functions, & improving quality and process cycle times.
The NPI Coordinator will take on leadership responsibilities of NPI administration as a focused quality function to identify process quality issues and drive improvement.
Although this role does not include delegation of authority (DOA), The NPI coordinator will provide pivotal support and deliver critical business processes.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the NPI Coordinator consist of but are not limited to:
NPI Planning Administration:
- Plan and document NPI approach for projects with CFT support.
- Track and measure NPI readiness, delivery, and transition KPI through OTD metrics.
- Track and report the use of planned NPI resources and activities
- Coordinate CCN and ICN management to support NPI schedules and BOMs
- Coordinate NPI finished goods distribution requirements with U79 teams
NPI Readiness, Delivery, Transition Coordination:
- Coordinate build readiness action plan (BRAP) meetings
- Plan with procurement teams to ensure NPI part availability to the NPI schedules
- Plan with R&D teams to ensure data and design readiness dependencies for NPI are synchronized
- Plan with NPI site teams to ensure NPI site production readiness and consumables are ready for the agreed NPI schedules.
- Ensure Suppliers and build teams are ready to effect NPI builds
Delivery
- Coordination of build schedules (Planisware, NPI Trackers)
- Support process engineers and build teams through NPI builds with admin/ system updates.
- Close collaboration with NPI process engineers to coordinate build instructions changes and capture of failures/ changes
- Coordinate distribution of components/ finished items Transition
- Facilitate transition documentation packs
- Coordination of transition/ handover meetings
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Procurement / administration experience
- Strong team interworking & communication skills
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Intranet
- Project management office administration experience
- PCBa engineering or manufacturing experience
- Procurement, manufacturing, change and project management system exposure
- Action-orientated with driven tenacity to achieve
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across multiple teams
