Job Summary
A brief overview of the role:
The Night Milker is responsible for performing the milking process during evening and/or overnight shifts, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, cleanliness, and milk quality. This role is essential in maintaining the daily productivity and health of the herd.

- Milking cows during assigned night shifts
- Monitoring cow health and identifying signs of illness or distress
- Cleaning and sanitizing milking equipment, milking parlour, and holding areas
- Ensuring milk is handled properly and stored at correct temperatures
- Handling and moving cows safely and calmly
- Completing and logging routine quality control checks
- Reporting any maintenance issues or animal health concerns to supervisors
- Assisting with calving or treating animals when required (if part of the job)
- Adhering to all health, safety, and animal welfare protocols
4. Work Schedule

5. Qualifications & Experience

Required:
- Experience handling livestock, preferably dairy cows
- Ability to work independently and responsibly during night hours
- Good physical fitness (ability to lift, bend, stand for long periods)
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm
Preferred:
- Previous experience in milking operations
- Knowledge of dairy hygiene standards and milk quality requirements
- Basic animal health knowledge
