· Job Title: National Stores Officer
· Part time role: 10-hours per week
· 52-weeks per year, but a term time only contract will be considered
· Remuneration: £12.60 per hour, reviewed every January.
· Full time annual leave entitlement: 27-days plus 8 bank holidays
(based on 37.5 hours pw full time equivalent)

At the National Headquarters we are on the lookout for a highly organised and detail-oriented National Stores Officer who loves to ensure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. This is a really important role where your excellent administrative skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage various tasks will directly contribute to our team's success and overall productivity. Duties
- Management of physical stores items for example uniforms, badges, buttons and medals
- Management of the online stores system
- Packaging and posting stores items to be sent to units/formations who order them, using the most effective and affordable courier available
- Collection of uniform items from suppliers
- Sourcing new suppliers to secure best value for money
- Working with badge/flag supplier to design new badges, medals and flags and re-ordering existing ones
- Distribution of commemorative badges to all units/formations (minimal)
- The making of belts, georgette patches, dress cords and epaulette sliders
- Annual stock take.
- Liaise with Finance Manager regarding payment of orders or credits
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in using computer software including Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail in data entry
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
