Mobile Plant Fitter - Frog Island, Rainham
£45,432.92 per annum
41 hours per week - Mon-Fri
The successful candidate will be a certified Fitter/Mechanic who will be responsible for repairing and maintaining mobile plant to ensure utmost reliability and safety whilst reducing downtime. Working as part of a small team, you must be willing to perform tasks outside of the role description.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support to all mobile plant operations
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks around the ELWA sites
- Repairing mobile plant around the ELWA sites
- Anticipate mobile plant failures and make such changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence to minimize downtime
- Using hand tools, welding equipment, powered hand tools and cutting equipment
- Ensuring H&S standards are maintained, and all related documentation is completed
- Liaising with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work
- Travelling and working between ELWA Sites as and when required.
Requirements
Essential criteria for this role:
- Able to diagnose faults, repair and maintain machinery, and have a good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Previous experience working with heavy machinery or in a mechanical / Auto electrical role can be beneficial
- Able to work under pressure and work well with others
- Candidate will be a team player and, also work under own initiative, with the ability to plan its own workload.
- Clean UK drivers license is a requirement for the position
