Self-Employed Cat Sitters – Glasgow (Southside & East End)
We’re looking for two reliable, cat-loving contractors to join our Glasgow team. These are self-employed roles providing in-home care to our clients’ cats while they are at work or away.
We currently have regular work available in:
Role 1: Southside Cat-Sitter
- Ongoing, regular visits (approx. 5 days per week)
- Covering Shawlands, Battlefield, Mount Florida, Govanhill, Pollokshields
- Must be based locally
Role 2: East-End Cat-Sitter
- Flexible hours with scope to increase
- Covering Dennistoun, Rutherglen, Bridgeton and surrounding areas
- Must be based locally
What the role involves:
- Visiting clients’ homes to provide cat care
- Feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning
- Administering medication (if required)
- Sending daily updates with photos via our mobile app
- Collecting post, watering plants, adjusting blinds as requested
- Occasional pet taxi or supply runs
Typical working pattern:
- Morning visits (6:00am–11:00am)
- Afternoon/Evening visits (3:00pm–7:00pm)
- Breaks between visits depending on your own schedule
What you’ll need:
- A genuine love of cats and understanding of their behaviour
- A “cats come first” attitude
- A reliable, insured vehicle and full UK driving licence
- Based in/near the areas you’ll cover
- Smartphone with camera and GPS
- Physically fit (comfortable with stairs, litter bags, kneeling)
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable caring for other small pets (rabbits, fish, reptiles)
- Willing to cover weekends, bank holidays, and peak holiday periods
- Must pass a background check

Important notes:
This is a self-employed contractor role. You will be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance contributions. Work is allocated based on your availability and demand in your area. The number of hours may vary, but regular work is available. Pay rates will be discussed during interview.
