The North York Moors National Park Authority looks after and promotes one of the most beautiful parts of the British Isles. We are now looking for a Marketing Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Marketing Officer, you will deliver engaging marketing activity to promote our National Park and support our tourism-related partnerships and initiatives.

Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team, you will help deliver our Strategy and Business Plan, as well as tourism marketing activities.

From creating content for our website, social media and e-newsletters to helping manage campaigns promoting food, nature, dark skies and outdoor adventures, you’ll support visitor-focused marketing across the Park.

Additionally, you will:

- Co-ordinate the annual Dark Skies Festival, Dark Skies Fringe Festival and Mindful Month programmes
- Liaise with tourism businesses and networks to support collaborative promotions
- Encourage tourism initiatives aligned with the National Park’s themes
- Assist with related admin, such as activity-friendly business applications

About You

To be considered as a Marketing Officer, you will need:

- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience
- Practical experience of inspirational content creation and writing for websites and digital platforms
- Experience using direct mail (e-newsletters) and social media for marketing and publicity
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people
- Knowledge of the North York Moors and the surrounding area
- A degree or equivalent qualification in tourism, recreation, marketing or a related subject
