Our Vacancy

Your day might start by reviewing new repair requests on the Plentific platform, ensuring jobs are posted promptly and contractors are appointed to deliver quality repairs. You could then be managing contractor quotes - balancing cost, quality, and past performance to make the best decisions for our customers. Throughout the day, you’ll handle any escalated issues, working closely with contractors and internal teams to resolve problems quickly and keep customers satisfied.

As our Market Place Repairs Lead, you’ll play a key role in driving the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services. You’ll be the go-to person for managing the full repairs procurement process, from job posting to completion, ensuring every job meets our standards and values. You’ll work closely with contractors, schedulers, and colleagues across the business, always focused on giving customers a great service experience. To be successful in this role, you’ll be required to work from the Pitsea office 2-3 days per week.

You’re someone who thrives on multitasking and taking ownership of your work, and you are customer-focused and committed to delivering value for money without compromising on quality. You enjoy working collaboratively but are confident making decisions independently when needed. Flexibility is important, as you’ll be working on a rotating shift pattern between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday.

To be successful in this role, you’re:

  • experienced in working in a customer centric environment with a commitment to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • have working knowledge of repairs and maintenance relating to rented, general needs/supported social housing
  • able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
  • a good communicator, both written and verbally, and have good IT skills
  • experienced in using Microsoft Excel, with excellent IT skills
  • able to manage your own workload and time effectively
  • able to travel to different office locations when required

Here are just a few of the benefits of working at Peabody:

  • 30 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays
  • two additional paid volunteering days each year
  • flexible benefits scheme, including family friendly benefits and access to a discount portal
  • 4 x salary life assurance
  • up to 10% pension contribution
