Managing Editor, LSE Business Review
Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 (pro rata) pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 (pro rata) pa inclusive of London allowance
This appointment is part time for 28 hours per week
The LSE Communications Division is driven by the School’s strategic ambition to be the world-leading social science institution with the greatest global impact. We are a team of passionate, committed communicators who strategically advise on, coordinate, and deliver internal and external communications. We work together to increase the impact of LSE and its work on the outside world, to the benefit of the whole LSE community.
This role offers a suitable candidate the opportunity to join LSE Blogs, one of the world’s primary digital knowledge exchange platforms for academics, students and researchers, business leaders and policymakers, with over 7 million views annually. Blogs play an integral role in the LSE’s commitment to evidence-based social science and to raising public understandings of academic work.
The post of Managing Editor for the LSE Business Review blog is suitable for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience working in editorial and online communications, and a commitment to using social media and digital channels to disseminate research findings. The Managing Editor will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the blog, which will require technical and commissioning skills as well as a deep understanding of social science debates in business, economics and finance, and private sector developments.
