Overall job purpose
The role will support and work within the School Maintenance Team maintaining and developing the physical fabric of the school.
Hours of work: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, Permanent, All Year
Salary:25,500 per/annum
Responsible to: Site Manager
Start Date: Immediate start available .
Duties
Your duties would include the following:
· General maintenance – minor building repairs
· Small electrical / plumbing/ carpentry/ painting & decorating jobs
· Assisting in the setting up/ clearing up of school events
· Occasional removals/moving (eg. Furniture, parcels) work
· Occasional ladder work
· Assisting in the setting up of examinations
· Liaise with contractors on site as necessary
· Assist with general repairs and maintenance within own ability, including assistance with the rolling maintenance and decoration when required. This may include litter collection, and clearing drains and gullies
· Assist in the deliveries to all areas of the school
· Report any known defects to the Site Manager
· Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately
· Ensure the security of the school is always maintained
Whilst the primary requirements of the post holder will be to meet the building maintenance needs of the school, they will also be called upon to carry out various other grounds maintenance / operational duties, as required.
