Summary:

Do you want to be the strategist who pre-plans optimal routes and ensures drivers stay compliant and covered—every day, every shift?

Are you looking to maximise your expertise in route management and driver coordination to keep our tankers on the right path, avoiding pitfalls and ensuring smooth operations?

This role is key to ensure routes are pre-planned and drivers are given the recommended routes to avoid vehicles using incorrect routes. To ensure driver holidays, sickness, driver hours are managed ensuring there is enough cover to operate tankers and to avoid breaching driver regulations. To raise work streams through the company management system and to work closely with other departments ensuring all work activity is recorded.

Main responsibilities:

  • To plan / re-plan heavy good vehicle routes ensuring routes are pre-planned for drivers to avoid vehicles accessing restricted routes.

  • To manage driver rota, hours, rest times, breaks, holidays, and sickness ensuring drivers do not exceed their driving hours and having ample rest times.

  • Create job packs for drivers ensuring they are passed and supplied to tanker lead / driver for signature. All documents to be signed, scanned, and saved to file.

  • To manage drivers ensuring all work is planned, job packs are completed and compliant.

  • To organise MOT’s, Servicing, maintenance and keep a record of all activity. This is to be reported into Tanker lead.

  • Liaise with distribution, production and other areas of the company ensuring all planned / reactive activity is raised correctly through the company management system.

You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • Water Hygiene Qualification.

  • Experience in a planning and scheduling environment.

  • Water industry or emergency planning knowledge and experience.


It will be a bonus if you have:

  • Water Industry background in an operational environment.

  • Evidence experience working on emergency response scenarios.

  • Evidence of planning and scheduling in a logistics company.
