Our client is a is an established and thriving business in the heart of Brighton. They are looking for a service focused and capable Lettings Negotiator or Senior Negotiator to join the team.
What are we looking for?

This is a varied, end-to-end role responsible for managing the rental process from initial enquiry to move-in. This includes matching tenants with suitable properties, conducting viewings, negotiating tenancy terms, and supporting both landlords and tenants throughout the letting journey. You’ll also be expected to maintain accurate records and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
While your core hours will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (35 hours per week), flexibility is essential, as some viewings and meetings may take place in the evening. We offer a generous base salary and a commission scheme for new business.
What will you be doing?
- Delivering a first-class service by managing applicants proactively, maintaining thorough and regular communication throughout the process
- Liaising with landlords to negotiate offers, build rapport, and maintain strong relationships
- Conducting viewings with efficient diary planning, applicant coordination, key management, and safety compliance
- Taking professional marketing photographs
- Carrying out legal checks (Right to Rent, AML, financial sanctions)
- Processing new lets using the lettings checklist up to completion of the Success Form
- Supporting the manager with valuations and marketing activities
- Executing marketing initiatives such as lead follow-ups, leaflet distribution, and landlord prospecting to grow the portfolio
- Maintaining ALTO (CRM) software accurately and efficiently
What we’re looking for:
- UK Drivers License
- One year’s Lettings experience minimum
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication, with a professional manner and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- A commitment to excellent client service, with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships with tenants and landlords.
- CELA/ARLA qualified or working towards qualification, with a willingness to continue professional training and development.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Landlord and Tenant Acts (1985 & 1987) and the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 (CALRA).
- Experience of working with and maintaining CRM software (ALTO preferable)
