To deliver high-quality teaching across Access to HE and Level 2 programmes, ensuring engaging lessons, effective assessment, and strong learner support. The role includes planning inclusive teaching, tracking progress and attendance, and providing both academic and pastoral support to help learners achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons using a range of teaching methods, including digital tools.
- Assess student work effectively and provide timely feedback.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and performance, setting SMART targets.
- Support learners through academic guidance and pastoral care.
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement, and programme promotion.
Teaching Commitment
- 850 teaching hours annually (full-time), scheduled as required by the Curriculum Lead.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Degree in a relevant subject (Health, Science, or related).
- Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience teaching or training at FE/HE level.
- Strong communication, organisation, and digital teaching skills.
Desirable:
- Experience delivering Access to HE programmes.
- Knowledge of awarding organisations and progression routes to HE.
