Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Support the culinary team by helping with the organisation of ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help with basic cooking tasks when required, contributing to meal preparation under supervision.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
