Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, pots, pans, canopy and utensils promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and assist in the proper storage of food items.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
