We are looking for Full and Part time kitchen team at our traditional town center pub. We have a small, but friendly and tight team. The job would involve both prepping fresh food and cooking the traditional dishes to serve. Its an old English Traditional menu and we are renowned for our Sunday roasts. This will include some, day shifts, with evening shifts and weekend shift essential, usually finishing well before 10pm on the weekends and earlier in the week. Experience is preferred however not essential as we can train anybody, all we ask is for commitment and a willingness to become a key team player, plus you understand that weekends and evenings shifts are required for any successful applicant. We can try work to set days and shifts per week and hours can be worked to your needs where possible, we are a very flexible place to work and genuinely value our teams happiness and out of work needs. We are building a new team going into new ownership and are looking for the right people to join us on our new journey. Cash tips are shared per shift and a great way to top up your pay
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
- Support cooks in the cooking process by monitoring food items and ensuring they are cooked to perfection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored safely.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced cooks.

Pay: £10.00-£13.50 per hour
