Job Overview
We are seeking a Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals for our care home residents. We are looking for candidates who can be flexible in covering alternative weekend shifts/holiday cover. Ideally, the candidate will already have an enhanced DBS which is transferable to this new role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following a set meal plan
- Make meals to meet certain resident needs/ allergies where required (eg diabetic diet, bland diet, puree diet etc).
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary
- Clear and wash all dishes
- Deep clean the kitchen and storage area as required
Skills
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety regulations
Working hours are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 8am-4pm Saturday & Sunday. You can choose to work either 4 days one week and 3 days the next week or you can work 3 days a week. We are flexible.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
