Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Driver / Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring the transportation of all patient, staff and visitors meals, staff hospitality and contract sites. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation while assisting our culinary staff. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry and develop their skills in both driving and kitchen management.
Responsibilities
- Transportation of all meals some by vehicle for service users, staff and visitors this includes staff hospitality and contract sites.
- Undertaking of planned and reactive tasks as allocated through the electronic Porter schedule.
- Complete documentation to ensure maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles. Ensuring that vehicles are taken and collected from appointed repair centre for service MOT’S and repairs and reporting any vehicle defaults to duty supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Maintain general cleanliness of vehicles and food service areas
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to maintain freshness.
- Support the culinary team during busy service times by providing assistance where needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen management promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Full clean UK driving licence for manual vehicle
- L2 Certificate in food safety.
- L2 Food Allergen Awareness
- L2 Customer Service
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Food safety certificate and Health & Safety Training
