Our happy clothes inspire kids, small and big, to express their unique identity. Our mission is to produce clothes that kids feel comfortable wearing, both literally and in themselves, so that whenever they put on our clothing, they’re guaranteed to wear a smile!
Founded in 2009 and based in South Wales, we’re now turning over more than £50 million per year and sell our amazing clothes internationally.
We’re still founder-led but in 2021, we secured significant investment to accelerate our development; an exciting phase that we want you to be a part of as we build a team to take Character.com to the next level by being apart of our store openings.

About you:
As a keyholder, you’ll be making our customer’s day, every day. Here’s what this looks like in action:
- Providing customers with an amazing experience as you help them with things like sizes or their favourite character, purchases, or returns
- Setting up a good-looking shop floor with full shelves as well as keeping a tidy and well-organised stockroom
- Delivering a fast, friendly, efficient experience at till points, processing queries, voids, and returns.
- Receiving, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products on to the shop floor and ensuring they’re all correctly priced - all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
- Opening and closing the store.
- Cash management - counting and handling the money in the safe.
Who you are:

- You’re passionate about people and creating those amazing experiences
- You’re honest, a strong communicator who can also listen, share ideas and get involved where needed
- You’ve got good organisational skills and attention to detail
- You’re a team player with high levels of motivation, a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Contract Hours: 8
FULLY FLEX HOURS - must be available to work any hours between 09:00am - 21:00pm weekdays and Saturday (Sundays from 09:00am to 18:30pm)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.60 per hour
