Junior Health and Safety Advisor
Arion, is based in Sleaford, we are a business-to-business health and safety consultancy and training company. We specialise in Health and Safety Support and auditing, statutory training, fire risk assessment, and occupational health.
Arion was incorporated in 2006; we have developed from strength to strength moving into a new purpose-built office in 2021. In 2013 we added our PPE and Workwear company Arion Shop, and we are looking to continue our growth and have an exciting opportunity to provide a new role.
We are seeking to employ someone for the Full-Time position of Health and Safety Technician.
Previous Fire and/or Health & Safety experience is preferable but not essential for the right candidate. Full training will be provided with ample opportunity for job and qualification progression.
The job will be based at our offices in Sleaford.
Normal Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 0800 to 1630, Friday 0830 to 1500.

Your main duties will include supporting our clients to manage their Health and Safety systems. You will learn all areas of our business and develop into specialist areas as you move through your new career path.
You will be part of a growing team of Health, Safety and Fire professionals. You will work with various members of the team and will carry out office-based tasks as well as operate at our clients’ sites across the country. The ideal candidate must be willing to be flexible; some out-of-hours work will be required.
Some of the duties will involve;
- Help manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring that close client relationships are maintained and a valued service is provided.
- Create or review health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements, COSHH Assessments, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Complete audits of our clients’ policies & procedures and provide an action plan.
- Training of health and safety courses, including but not limited to: Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Working at height.
- Communicate technical information effectively to clients, stakeholders, and non-technical individuals.
- Stay updated with industry-relevant regulations and standards.
Knowledge and Skills
- NEBOSH General
- Member of IOSH
- Minimum of 2 years, experience in completing and consulting on detailed audits and inspections, providing advice and guidance on Health & Safety compliance.
- Trainer qualification or equivalent
The right candidate would:
- be organised, motivated, and proactive,
- have good attention to detail
- be able to work as part of a team and alone
- be computer literate in Microsoft Office packages e.g., word and excel.
- and have a Full UK Driving License.
