We’re looking for a caring, committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP in a mainstream school setting. This is a part-time role to start, with the potential to increase hours over time as the pupil settles and progresses.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support tailored to the child’s individual needs
Assist with classroom activities, routines, and transitions
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Help the child access learning and develop independence
Ideal Skills & Experience:
✔ Experience supporting children in a classroom or SEND setting
✔ Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
✔ Good communication and teamwork skills
✔ Ability to adapt to changing needs and routines
✔ Understanding of EHCPs and additional learning needs (desirable)
