If you would like to help improve the emotional health, wellbeing and resilience of young people and believe building quality relationships is key to supporting young people this project could be the role for you.
We work in partnership with local youth organisations and Torbay Hospital. The role gives you the opportunity to be part of a team of mental health youth workers working alongside young people and their families to provide young-person led support through quality youth work interventions ensuring that young people can set their own goals, leave the hospital ward and manage in the community to avoid readmission.
We ask that you can build relationships of trust and understanding, whilst responding to a young person’s needs through a trauma-informed lens. Supporting them to make decisions, have their voice heard to build their own plan and longer-term strategies to prevent going into hospital wards.
Please have a read through the job description and person specification and if you think you have what it takes then we would love to hear from you. We welcome applications from those with lived experience who have transferrable skills.
