Working hours for this role are Monday-Friday 08:00 - 16:30 - This is a full time office based vacancy.
Responsibilities
- Provide first line contact and case management, advice, guidance and coaching to line managers in the areas of HR including absence management, discipline, grievance.
- Maintaining accurate HR records, both manual and electronic in line with best practice and GDPR.
- Coach Line Managers as appropriate to support them in managing their teams.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding activity to ensure demands of the business are met in a timely manner.
- Assist with workforce planning
- Identify/Support/lead HR projects.
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures are reviewed regularly with appropriate changes consulted and approved by HRD.
- Provide weekly and monthly data to meet KPI’s, monitoring and reporting on trends to inform the HRD and the business.
- Support learning and development activity including identifying and analysing training needs and delivering solutions
- Plan and deliver training around HR related topics
- Support wellbeing agenda, identifying and delivering appropriate initiatives and improvements as required.
- Support the annual employee survey and ensure key actions from the survey are delivered
- Assist with company pay review and assist with gap analysis of salaries compared to industry standards.
- Any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role.
Skills & Experience
- CIPD Level 3
- Min 2 years’ experience of operating at HR Advisor level in HR function
- Experience of working in a dynamic and changing workplace environment.
- Thorough understanding of HR policies, processes and procedures.
- Robust knowledge of current UK employment law and best practice.
- Ability to work confidentially and sensitively
- Ability to identify new ideas and drive improvements
- Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially via email and telephone.
- Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Recognises the importance of a team ethos
