HR Administrator (Part-Time, 0.6 FTE)
Location: ACS International Schools, Hillingdon (with occasional travel to Cobham and Egham)
Hours: 21 hours per week / 3 days (Tuesdays essential; other days to be agreed)
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
ACS International Schools are looking for a proactive and detail-focused HR Administrator to join our HR Operations Team at our Hillingdon campus.
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the post holder will provide professional HR administration support to staff and managers in a timely, efficient, confidential, and customer-focused manner. You will also play a key role in ensuring ACS remains fully compliant with UK employment legislation and ISI regulations.
This is a varied role covering compliance, payroll support, HR lifecycle administration, and operational support, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and wider HR projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee data and the Single Central Register (SCR).
- Carry out safeguarding and pre-employment checks (DBS, references, right-to-work, visas).
- Support accurate and timely UK payroll administration.
- Provide HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, leavers and relocation claims.
- Be a first point of contact for employee queries, providing timely and effective advice.
- Support recruitment, induction, absence, maternity, and employee relations processes as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvements within HR operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous HR administration experience, ideally in a compliance-heavy environment.
- CIPD trained.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Good knowledge of UK employment law, right-to-work and safeguarding requirements (desirable).
- Confident IT skills, including HR systems (iTrent experience an advantage).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
