To offer support to Service Users in developing independent lives through the implementation of the aims and purposes of the YMCA and to help with the running and upkeep of YMCA Wearsdie residential property.
6. Main Responsibilities
- To take responsibility as a key worker for a prescribed case load of young people including looked after children in supporting them through to social and economic independence
- To maintain key worker records, complete timetables, update Amis and communicate with other members of the team through team meetings, log book and other implemented communication measures
- To communicate effectively with Social workers and any agencies linked to the support of the young people
- To maintain confidentiality within the policies and procedures of the YMCA and external agencies
- To maintain effective working relationships with relevant external agencies on behalf of young people as well as attend meetings to discuss individuals
- To assist with the collection of rents and bad debts
- To deal with emergencies in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures
- To help maintain the physical security of the building when on duty
- To help with cleaning and maintenance of the building
- To work co-operatively as part of a small team ensuring all objectives are met for the young people in undertaking other responsibilities and tasks requested by the Housing Manager, Chief Executive or Board
- To ensure that visitors sign in and help residents maintain the security of the building
Please note this post is to work 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off Mon to Sun on a rolling rota basis.
