Job Opportunity: Daytime Linen Porter – Haycock Manor Hotel
The Haycock Manor Hotel is seeking a Daytime Linen Porter to join our dedicated Housekeeping Team. Following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, the hotel has been beautifully restored and now offers 45 luxurious bedrooms, making this an exciting time to become part of our growing team.
Working Hours:
Day shifts are available between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This is a full-time role, working five days out of seven, including weekends and bank holidays as part of the normal working schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of clean linen to designated areas and removal of soiled linen in a timely manner
- Support deep and periodic cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, carpets, upholstery, and public areas to the highest standards
- Change bed and bedroom configurations as needed
- Handle the safe use, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- Assist with general daily housekeeping tasks and departmental duties
- Report lost property, maintenance issues, or defects promptly in accordance with hotel procedures
- Minimize waste of products and materials through careful use and inventory awareness
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional appearance and excellent timekeeping
- Confident communicator with both guests and team members
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy loads
- Knowledge of COSHH and cleaning practices is essential
- Willingness to learn and operate new equipment and methods
