Hire Desk Controller – Star Power Hire – Tonbridge Kent
Due to company growth, we are looking for an experienced Hire Desk Controller to join our Power Team based at our Depot in Tonbridge Kent.
This is an exciting time to join our busy and expanding hire department; responding to our customer’s requests for power generators, arranging deliveries and collections ensuring high levels of service are given to every customer. You will be part of assisting the external team that provides installations, Servicing and breakdown cover, reactive callouts, planned works, as well any Hire requests from our customers nationwide to ensure the efficient service of Star Power.
Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound and outbound calls and emails
- Processing Hire requests, payments & Invoices
- Arranging transportation of the equipment with the logistics team.
- Ability to advise and assist with customer requests or issues over the telephone.
- Negotiating and converting hire enquiries into orders
- Using sales techniques to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
- Identifying and interpreting the best Power solution for customers' requirements
- Solving problems and multi-tasking within a busy office environment
Requirements:
- A basic understanding of Power Generators or Electrical/Mechanical Machinery
- Experience of working within a busy rental team is ideal although not necessary for the right candidate.
- High level of commitment and desire to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
- The wiliness to assist colleagues & customers.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Relevant experience in a similar role
