We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in the community or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, making a positive impact on the lives of those you care for.
*Duties*
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in their care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately.
- Help with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients to appointments if required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development.
*Skills*
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients as needed.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
