Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and delivering high-quality care in a home or care home setting. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those they support.
Duties
- Assist clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Provide senior care by supporting daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring all aspects of care are addressed.
- Perform first aid when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with medication administration and basic first aid practices is an advantage.
- A background in patient care or senior care will be beneficial for this position.
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
