About the Role
KASE Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our growing team. We provide a mix of complex care packages (long day or night shifts) and domiciliary care visits (rota-based calls), supporting both adults and children with a wide range of needs in their own homes.
Our service users require both everyday personal care and specialist support for complex medical conditions. The role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring safe and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Provide personal, practical, and emotional care tailored to individual needs.
- Assist with daily routines including washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility support.
- Deliver complex care, which may include:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator support
- PEG/RIG feeding and medication administration
- Bowel management (including manual evacuation)
- Cough assist and suctioning
- Management of autonomic dysreflexia
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding when required.
- Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and bed-making.
- Provide companionship and promote social interaction through hobbies, activities, and outings.
- Maintain accurate care records, including medication administration and daily updates.
- Work in partnership with families, live-in carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, and all health & safety measures.
- Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries at all times.
- Report promptly any changes in service user condition, incidents, or concerns.

Person Specification – Essential Criteria
The ideal candidate will be:
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and proactive.
- Flexible and adaptable across different care environments.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of vulnerable individuals.
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to ongoing training and development.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health or social care.
- Complex care experience is highly desirable, particularly in tracheostomy/ventilation, PEG/RIG feeding, bowel care, and suctioning.
- Domiciliary care experience is also valuable.
- Exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered depending on skillset.
Mandatory Induction Training
- All successful candidates must attend a 1–5-day induction at our Head Office in Loughton, Essex.
- Induction covers moving & handling, first aid, company policies, and CQC compliance.
- Induction must be completed in full during the same week.
Recruitment Process
Successful applicants will be invited to attend a Recruitment Day at our Head Office in Loughton, Essex on Date to be confirmed (10:00am – 4:30pm). This will include:
- An introduction to the history of KASE Care.
- A presentation from our management team.
- English & Maths assessments.
- Group activities.
If successful at the Recruitment Day, candidates will progress to a one-to-one interview via Microsoft Teams.
Final stage applicants will then be invited to attend a full 1 – 5-day induction (dates to be confirmed) at Head Office.
