Job Summary
We are looking for a caring and reliable Carer who speaks Arabic (preferably Syrian dialect) to support our residents. This role involves helping with daily care needs, offering companionship, and assisting with health and wellbeing. You will work closely with healthcare staff to make sure each resident gets the best possible care and feels comfortable and respected.
Main Duties
- Help residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Take basic health checks like temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Give prescribed medicines following training and instructions.
- Support residents during daily activities and appointments.
- Keep records of care given and report any changes in health to senior staff.
- Make sure the living area is clean, safe, and comfortable.
- Communicate clearly with residents, especially in Arabic, to help them feel understood and supported.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
Skills & Experience
- Must be able to speak Arabic (Syrian dialect preferred).
- Kind, patient, and able to work well with older people and those with health conditions.
- Good communication skills to talk with residents, families, and staff.
- Basic understanding of health checks and giving medicines (training will be given).
- Experience in care work is helpful but not always required if willing to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.22 per hour
