We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Midwifery to lead our midwifery team in providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their families. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the midwifery team, ensuring effective delivery of care throughout the maternity services.

- Educate and mentor midwives, providing guidance on clinical skills, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, using data to drive improvements in service quality.
- Advocate for the needs of women and families within the maternity care system.
- Stay abreast of current trends in midwifery and maternal health to inform practice and policy decisions.
Experience
- A recognised qualification in Midwifery with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Significant experience in midwifery practice, including leadership or management roles within a healthcare setting.
- Proven ability to educate others effectively, fostering a culture of learning within the team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
