As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Head of Electrical – Solar to lead our electrical engineering team and ensure the successful delivery of solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering team across both design and installation functions.
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with mechanical and digital teams to deliver integrated solar solutions.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and quality assurance measures for all electrical work.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the solar sector.
Qualifications & Skills
- Essential:
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
- Level 3 Inspection & Testing (2391/2394/2395).
- Solar PV qualification (BPEC or equivalent).
- Desirable:
- Level 4 Design and Verification (2396).
- Experience in leading electrical teams within the solar industry.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV system design and installation.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
