Who we are
Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UKs only international high-speed railway (HS1), owned by London St. Pancras Highspeed.
The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford and Ebbsfleet International.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client London St. Pancras Highspeed, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

Brief Description
The role
We are looking for a Head of Communications, who will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of a people focused, right time, needs based communications strategy, in a truly unique business that brings the UK closer to the world. The postholder will be an integral member of the recently formed People and Change function senior leadership team.
You will lead the development and delivery of a robust communications strategy for our business, aligned with Network Rails corporate communications framework.
In this pivotal role, youll be responsible for setting clear objectives, policies, and guidelines that shape all communication activities across the business. Youll oversee the quality assurance of key external publications and ensure consistent, compliant messaging that reflects our business values and vision.
Youll be leading a small team, and work closely with communications agencies, internal stakeholders, and our client London St Pancras High Speed, safeguarding the brand identity of both the client and the HS1 route. As a key member of our incident and crisis management response, you may occasionally be required to operate outside of regular working hours.
