  • Build and strengthen relationships with national and international media across sport, business, and general news outlets.
  • Serve as a senior spokesperson where appropriate and prepare other spokespeople through high-level media training and briefing.
  • Monitor and analyse global media coverage, providing insightful reporting and recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
  • Safeguard the consistency and accuracy of the Club’s key messages across all channels.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of major corporate announcements, press conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Ensure the Club’s media contact database and monitoring tools are managed to the highest standard.
The Person:
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Significant experience in senior communications or PR roles within sport, a global brand, or a similarly high-profile environment.
  • Proven success in managing complex media relations and high-stakes issues at executive level.
  • Strong, established relationships with influential national and international media.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape and the unique culture of an elite football club.
  • Exceptional leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with confidence representing the Club publicly.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis management and reputation protection.
  • Proficiency in social media monitoring and media intelligence tools.
  • Additional language skills desirable due to the Club’s global reach.
