Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Cook to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Duties
- Lead and manage the kitchen team in all aspects of food preparation and cooking.
- Create and develop innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or themed menus as required.
- Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or similar culinary setting.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing kitchen staff preferred.
- A culinary qualification or relevant certification is advantageous but not essential.
