*About the role:*
We are looking for a reliable, practical Handyperson to join our team at The Mayfair Newcastle. You’ll play a key role in keeping our bar clean, safe, and well-maintained for both customers and staff. This is a part-time position, 6-12 hours a week.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and odd jobs (e.g. fixing door handles, replacing light bulbs, unblocking drains, painting touch-ups).
- Regularly checking and maintaining facilities (toilets, public areas, beer garden/outdoor spaces).
- Working safely and tidily, respecting health and safety regulations.
*Requirements:*
- Previous experience in a similar handyperson or maintenance role (preferred, but not required).
- Basic DIY/maintenance skills and a practical outlook.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
