Job Description
We are seeking a Groups, Meetings, and Events Coordinator who embodies trust, reliability, and a passion for exceptional guest service. This role is responsible for overseeing group bookings and coordinating events with creativity, flexibility, and a strong commitment to excellence.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an approachable leadership style, foster collaboration and team cohesion while upholding integrity in every interaction. They will ensure the seamless execution of meetings, conferences, and special events, delivering memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximise enquiry conversion through effective call handling, strong product knowledge, and outstanding customer service.
- Accurately manage bookings and company processes to ensure robust business data and reporting.
- Operate all systems to the required TROO and brand standards for effective room business management.
- Implement pricing and selling strategies across market segments to achieve departmental budgets and outperform competitors.
- Maintain up-to-date competitor knowledge, including conducting site visits as required.
- Conduct client appointments and hotel show-rounds with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Deliver consistently superior service in line with the Customer Service Programme.
- Support a positive team culture, promoting morale, commitment, and pride in the hotel.
- Apply commercial awareness by considering total revenue and long-term value when assessing new business opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to maintain strong working relationships.
- Comply with all company and hotel policies, including cash handling, health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and allergen procedures.
- Complete required online training and attend sessions as needed to support continuous learning.
- Present a professional image at all times, adhering to grooming and uniform standards.
- Operate IT systems effectively in line with company requirements.
- Ensure compliance with current liquor licensing laws.
- Undertake additional projects or responsibilities assigned by the General Manager to support business growth and improvement.
