About us:
Excite Solutions are a rapidly expanding family run business, co-owned by Kay (in the office) and Barry (mostly field based). We are primarily Grounds Maintenance Specialists for Commercial customers, serving Schools, councils and Sports facilities. We pride ourselves on safe and efficient working, putting our staff and customers first.
We know first impressions count. We have a quality accreditation (ISO9001) and are BALI members and have recently become SAFE Contractor approved. Our team have extensive experience and industry knowledge and consistently aim to maximise the potential of our customers outdoor spaces.
The Job:
Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm Summer months (March - November). 8am - 3.30pm Winter months (December - February).
Location:
We are based just outside of Diss and cover Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
The Grounds Maintenance Operative will:
- Maintain large grounds using tractors, ride-on and pedestrian mowers and brush cutters
- Maintain hedges and shrubs using hedge cutters
- Mark sports pitches using a GPS robot line marker
- Cut large hedges using a tractor and flail arm and Tractor scissor arm.
It is essential that the Grounds Operative will:
- Have previous experience in a similar role
- Have a genuine passion for working outside in all weathers
- Be physically fit due to the nature of the work
- Be a valued team player
- Take pride and care in every aspect of daily operations
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Confident to work in a team and individually
- Must hold a full clean UK driving licence for minimum of 3 years
- Polite and able to communicate with customers and staff members at all levels
It is desired that the applicant has experience within the grounds maintenance industry and the following training / qualifications, however, the company will offer internal and external training to the right candidate:
- First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Ride on mowers
- Tractor operations
- Experience with towing
- Chainsaw Licence
Due to the nature of our work all candidates will undergo an enhanced police check and have the right to work in the UK.
We would welcome applications from existing Grounds Maintenance Operatives with previous knowledge and experience within this field. References will be requested by current employers.
