Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ground Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying our various groundwork tasks on-site, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Duties
- Assist in site preparation
- Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving materials
- Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a ground working role including tarmac works is required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
- HGV licence is advantageous
- Plant licences are advantageous
- A valid driver's licence is essential
- A valid CSCS card is essential
Typical working hours are from 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday through to Friday, however, some flexibility with these hours will be required. Your work day will start and finish at our yard which is located in Ynysybwl, Pontypridd.
