The Opportunity

This role will serve as a member of the Global Operations team and be responsible to manage major projects as assigned by the VP of Global Operations. This may include continuous improvement projects and implementations. In addition, they will service as a subject matter expert in FirstTRAC and be placed in start-ups and situations where this expertise is required.

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Role Accountabilities

Technical & Operational Knowledge

  • Familiarity with B&H warehouse and operations processes and SOPs, working with the regional teams to ensure consistency across the Group.
  • Hands on experience in warehouse utilizing FirstTRAC and other tools in the warehouse.
  • Knowledge of Qlik to measure and manage SLAs and KPIs.

Project Management

  • An understanding of basic project management methodology.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Project to manage projects, resources, costs and defined objectives.
  • Ability to coordinate special equipment requests (hi-loaders, cranes, etc.)
  • Monitor project performance, share insights and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders, including the Executive team.
  • Act as a change ambassador, building trust and clarity across the organization.

Communication & Coordination

  • Effectively communicate internally within the organization across operations, departments and stations to keep people on task and projects moving forward.
  • Be comfortable communicating externally with vendors, customers and suppliers to ensure project status, dependencies and objectives are understood.
  • Hold people accountable for tasks and key milestones.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Experience with airway bills (AWB), shippers declarations
  • Basic knowledge of customs clearance
  • Adhere to B&H Worldwide processes and SOPs, thereby ensuring company KPIs are met.

Problem Solving & Situational Awareness

  • Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks proactively
  • Ability to work autonomously at times and make decisions independently.

Your Experience

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, within the aerospace / aviation industry.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results.
  • Comfortable operating in a changing environment, with multiple priorities
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to use bespoke industry systems, such as CargoWise.
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to confidently and credibly engage and influence customers, partners and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven record of being responsive and innovative.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet defined deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise as well as focus on the detail.
  • Work pro-actively using own initiative.
  • Ability to consider several possible options and decide on most appropriate method.
  • Strong commercial awareness, understands impact of actions.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to travel globally as required.
