The Trading Route is a brand new, first of its kind Lager-House serving as the tap-room for Manchester Union Brewery whilst also serving fantastic rotisserie-style food from the kitchen, and selling high quality local products from the Provisions retail space.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, whose attention to detail is second to none and who thrives on surpassing guest expectations. The ideal candidate would be someone who is confident, driven and loves working in a friendly bar environment with a small team.
Responsibilities
- Preparing drinks and serving customers promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and on the restaurant floor, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Restock supplies such as spirits, mixers, garnishes, and ice as needed throughout shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management of any shortages or required orders.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by helping patrons with their needs and ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Keep the restaurant and bar area clean and tidy, clearing and resetting tables around the venue.
- Taking food orders and delivering table service during the kitchen opening hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time-management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy shifts.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn about bartending techniques and drink recipes is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
