Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for guest services, making it essential for creating a positive dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive with a warm and inviting attitude.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and assisting with bookings.
- Taking orders, looking after guests, ensuring every guest has a memorable and positive experience.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the host area, including menus and waiting areas.
- Help train new staff members on proper hosting procedures and guest interaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanour with a willingness to help others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
