Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring that their experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Have excellent knowledge of the menu. Including allergens, and dietary requirements.
- Serve pastries, cakes, bakes and coffees to our customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, ensuring it is presentable and clean at all times.
- Collaborate with our management team and bakers to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Handle customer feedback professionally, addressing any concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Four members of staff on shift at one time, two members of staff serving, one barista and one member of staff looking after the queue. Each member of staff should be trained up and willing to do any of these roles.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service within the hospitality industry, is required.
- Coffee experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A passion for providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Hours
- Flexibility to work various shifts. Weekend availability essential.
- Approx 30 hours per week.
- Working week of Tuesday-Sunday.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.80 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
