Rutland Nursery is an established family-run business, with a garden nursery, shop and restaurant situated on the south shore of beautiful Rutland Water.
The Nursery has been in existence for over thirty years, growing and nurturing plants for the gardens of Rutland and beyond and expanding in the hospitality sector.

Well thats wonderful, because were on the lookout for someone just like you to join our Front of House team in our beautiful restaurant overlooking Rutland Water. Ideally youd be eagle-eyed, quick on your feet, and already experienced working in a busy, bustling environment. That said, well absolutely consider you if youre willing and eager to learn.
We're looking for Front of House Assistants to join our Restaurant team, offering a full time position, which include working Weekends and Bank Holidays.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with serving of all meals and beverages to customers within the Restaurant and courtyard.
- Ensuring that both the kitchen and serving areas within the Restaurant remain clean and tidy, taking pride in ensuring working spaces are presentable.
- Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are followed, including food safety and hygiene.
- Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where possible.
KEY BEHAVIOURS
- Possess great customer service skills, naturally enjoying speaking to the public and creating a great restaurant experience.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Thriving in a team environment, striving as one to deliver to the customers.
- Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health and Safety Certificate are advantageous, but not essential for this role.
- Although a driving license is not required for this role, you must ensure that you are able to independently make your way to and from our rural location across different start and finish times.
