Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our service users while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. You will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with service set up, serving meals, cleaning the dining area and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The hourly rate for this role will reflect minimum wage depending upon age of successful applicant. The role will involve various shifts with early mornings for breakfast service and evening finishes for dinner service. Flexibility in working hours is a must with evenings, weekends and holiday cover required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food service area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food service area, including dining areas and kitchen facilities.
- Assist service users with their orders, providing information about menu items and dietary options.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines, including proper storage and handling of food products.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with service users and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous, although food hygiene level 2 training will be provided.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
