Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks, from food preparation to serving, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Take and process customer orders accurately, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted.
- Prepare food items in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and service stations.
- Assist with upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations when necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, particularly regarding food safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a front of house role.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is an advantage.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and managing orders effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members alike.
