One Year Fixed-Term Contract for external applicants / Secondment opportunity for LBE employees

Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity the Adults Finance Operations Team is looking to recruit to the post of Finance Officer – Adults Operations Finance on a 1 year Secondment or 1 year Fixed Term Contract available on a full time for basis. Key responsibilities of the post holder will include supporting the team in processing a range of payments to contracted Adult Social Care service providers in accordance with Council’s procedures and local departmental controls.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, positive and helpful under pressure, and focused on meeting the service’s changing financial needs. This will require the post holder to work in partnership with a range of staff within the Council including Adults Services Brokerage & corporate Payment teams & also with external service providers.

The post holder should have:

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in working with finance systems.
  • Relevant experience of working in a local authority or a large public, private or voluntary sector organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience in finance and administration including financial reporting, record-keeping, reconciliations and figure work, keyboard work and excel skills, including spreadsheets.
